Where Will First Dog Start?
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is the bearer of First Dogs new shiny gift – wax figures of President Obama and First Lady Michelle! These are some sweet gifts. Just look at that shiny lacquered coating and we can imagine our boy Bo jumping on these figures and licking their legs, hands and faces…you know, all the lovely things that our dogs do for us:-)
Can I Try Mommy?
The Obama Family continues their winter vacation in Hawaii by going out doing “family” things like going to book stores. Well, we at FDW say why not bring Bo? I mean, we all know that you can teach a dog to do anything! And because Bo is sooooo smart, learning how to read would be a cinch for one so blessed as he. Come on, sure it would sound much like “ruff ruff” but we have faith that our boy would soon be sounding out those consonants and vowels like any good red blooded American dog!
What's Happening?
President Obama cut short his golf game while on his winter vacation in Hawaii yesterday. Apparently, ambulance was called to the rented home the Obamas are using. The president was very concerned that First Daughters, Sasha or Malia or the First Lady may have been injured. False alarm as it turns out that a friend of the Obama family was injured while walking on the beach.
Now if First Dog Bo had been there, he would have given the alarm of any impending “beach injury” with an adorable bark! Instead our boy is probably looking adorable while chewing on the one of his toys. Source: AFP and Michelle Obama Watch

Well, well, well, what do we have here? Could this be the Obamas hanging out and having fun? Why do they look so happy sining out in Hawaii while First Dog Bo is missing them terribly back in Washington? Questions, questions…maybe we will get answers in the New Year. In the meantime, we are sending doggie kisses to our boy Bo:-)

We all know that dogs don’t care where you live, how much money you have or how much power you have; they just care about you! And how many BELLY RUBS you give. Check out our boy BO getting the best thing a dog could ask for (belly rub by daddy, President Obama) and in the Oval Office to boot. What a life!

Since we haven’t been given any new shots of our boy First Dog Bo, we have to resign ourselves to surfing the web in search of fresh stories. While doing our due diligence, we came across this great drawing our the Obama dog’s first days in the White House. Remember that shot of President Obama and the family’s new puppy spending some quality time together running through the halls of the West Wing. It’s pretty cute so check it out…
It's Seems Like Old Times...
There's Nothing Like The Real Thing!
Well, well, well, in the new pics of the Obama Family – the “official” White House family photo that is- the First Dog is missing! But before we got out dog collars all tied up, First Dog Watch decided to do some investigation and, actually, it turns out that Bo Obama isn’t the first First Family pet to NOT appear in the “official White House” family photo.
In our search for First Family photos with First Pets, we were hard pressed to find any “official” photos with the First Family and their pets. We know that the Clintons loved First Dog, Buddy, and First Cat, Socks, but they didn’t appear in any photos. So while we would have loved to have seen Bo Obama in the Annie Leibovitz photo, it’s not that unusual. Besides, the First Grandmother is also missing!

May all your doggie dreams come true…and please remember to blow out the candles before you chew the candles:-) That’s right folks, the most famous Portuguese Water Dog in the world, First Dog Bo Obama turns one and is officially an adult! This is indeed a great day as Bo’s father, President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Does that mean Bo is the “Nobel Peace Dog”? Source: Huffington Post
The Birthday Boy!
…Play with Oprah’s dogs?! While the First Lady AND Oprah were in Copenhagen for their unsuccessful bid for the 2016 Olympics, FDW was wondering where is First Dog Bo? Perhaps there was a playdate for Bo in the deal to have his mommy (and daddy leave for a day). If that’s what a dog has to suffer for abandonment (we know we are pushing it), then we think it was worth it. Besides, Oprah has twenty dogs (just kidding) so we think he had a ball!

…A heaven full of belly rubs! Yes, finally some new pics of our First Dog Bo Obama and First Daughters, Sasha and Malia Obama on the South Lawn waiting for the President to return on Air Force One. By the looks of his eyes rolling into the back of his head and the open mouth, our guess is that this doggie has definitely gone to doogie heaven. If you look a little closer, he looks a little annoyed that upon the President’s arrival, his trip to heaven immediately stopped….awwww shucks…hang in there boy, we are sure that more belly rubs are in the near future!
