"My new babies!"

Media megastar Oprah Winfrey celebrated her 56th birthday today. What do you get a woman who has everything and can probably buy herself whatever she wanted? Well, a puppy of course! But the birthday god didn’t just give Ms. Winfrey one cute puppy but TWO cute PUPPIES. SUNNY and LAUREN, who are rescues from PAWS Rescue in Chicago, made their television debut today on the Oprah Show. We at First Dog Watch would like to wish Ms. Winfrey a happy birthday and say Ruff! Ruff! for getting her puppies from a rescue organization

Bells Are Ringing

When Oprah Winfrey interviewed First Lady Michelle Obama this past weekend for her Christmas Special, “Christmas In The White House”, she raved about First Dog Bo’s bells. So we think that all of Oprah’s dogs can look forward to some holiday bells coming soon to their doggie stockings hanging by the fireplace. A bell collar is perfect to let you know when your dog’s lovin’ is about to pounce on you! Ruff! Ruff!

Last night on Oprah’s Special “Christmas At The White House“, we got to get a good look at our boy Bo Obama. He looks fantastic! He even showed off his “fist bump” trick when he greeted Ms. Winfrey showing off his festive bells. First Lady, Michelle Obama looked like the proud mama when she showed off how well trained Bo is; she even proclaimed that she loved Bo so much but also that “Santa loves Bo too” and gave a little wink indicating that Bo would be getting lots of goodies from the bearded man. She also let us know that Bo has his own stocking so looks like Santa already loves Bo. How can he resist those adorable brown eyes, that white bib and socks?! …Play with Oprah’s dogs?! While the First Lady AND Oprah were  in Copenhagen for their unsuccessful bid for the 2016 Olympics, FDW was wondering where is First Dog Bo? Perhaps there was a playdate for Bo in the deal to have his mommy (and daddy leave for a day). If that’s what a dog has to suffer for abandonment (we know we are pushing it), then we think it was worth it. Besides, Oprah has twenty dogs (just kidding) so we think he had a ball!

…Cause Oprah Winfrey looks like her dogs. You know they say that we all start to look like our best friends and the Queen of Daytime television certainly seems to be doing just that. FDW think this is very very cute but we want to know…do you look like your dog?
