We haven’t seen our boy First Dog Bo in awhile but the White House released these new images recently. It looks like our boy is living a wonderful and enviable life:-) Source: White House.gov
Despite being one of the most popular First Dog’s in American history, First Dog Bo is also apparently one of the most heroic. After the success of it’s last graphic novel, “Puppy Power: Bo Obama” about the First Dog, Bluewater Publications decided it needed a new one to highlight our boy’s power. This book, entitled “Bo Obama: The White House Tails”, goes a little bit further into the “peoples house”. By following the First Dog, who narrates the 40-page story, we learn about the day to day aspects of the White House happenings, the history of presidential pets and a guided tour of the executive mansion.
Infact, our boy Bo is so popular, that the book sold out last month. A new printing has been ordered so if you haven’t gotten a copy yet, don’t fret. Source: Bluewater Publications
The east coast may have had a huge snowstorm this past weekend but that didn’t stop First Dog Bo from enjoying some good ole’ snow day activities. Just look how our boy is lapping up all the delicious snow. We bet his precious paws are really enjoying the soft and cool sensation of the fresh snow in the Rose Garden of the White House. Ahhhh, wish we were there! Source: White House.org
Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is the bearer of First Dogs new shiny gift – wax figures of President Obama and First Lady Michelle! These are some sweet gifts. Just look at that shiny lacquered coating and we can imagine our boy Bo jumping on these figures and licking their legs, hands and faces…you know, all the lovely things that our dogs do for us:-)
Well, well, well, look who is hanging out with mommy again! It seems that First Dog Bo is having a blast now that he has his family back. Just look at the look of contentment on his face – tongue hanging just ever so slightly out of the mouth. It reminds us of how humans sometimes involuntarily sigh an involuntary sigh of contenment. But instead of a tongue hanging out (well, maybe for some of us that is), we just lay back, sigh and maybe do a little belly rubbing…which is also a favorite pasttime of dogs. Maybe that’s why we love them so much – they remind us of ourselves in so many ways.
First Dog Bo is happy, the humans are happy…all is right in the White House!
On Tuesday night, October 13, 2009, the Obamas hosted “Fiesta Latina” at the White House as part of the administration’s music series and in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. While the family danced and clapped their hands, we think our boy, First Dog Bo, was at home eager to show his own Salsa skills. He may be a canine, but we are sure he could have “busted a move.” Perhaps the First Daughters, Sasha and Malia, are discussing whether their dog Bo could do it or not…
You may think it’s a silly question but not so fast…a dog’s religion (or rather the religion of their family) can affect how much doggie lovin’ goes on. For instance, if you are a strict Hindu, dogs will not rank as high as a cow. Or if you are an atheist, you may give your dog all the lovin’ they need because after they die, it’s all over.
Well since the Obama Family were spotted this past Sunday, October 11, coming from church (Christian), we guess that he gets just as much love as most dogs in America…which is just about right!
Happy Birthday to you, Happy Birthday to you Happy Birthday to you! May all your doggie dreams come true…and please remember to blow out the candles before you chew the candles:-) That’s right folks, the most famous Portuguese Water Dog in the world, First Dog Bo Obama turns one and is officially an adult! This is indeed a great day as Bo’s father, President Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Does that mean Bo is the “Nobel Peace Dog”? Source: Huffington Post
