The Obamas visited the Jefferson Memorial in Washington on Sunday, September 27, 2009, along with the President’s sister Maya Soetoro-Ng, her husband, Konrad Ng and their two daughters. Truly a family affair with ONE obvious snag – no First Dog! Now we know the Obamas love their doggie but it seems that they have soooo much fun without. Oh well, at least he got to go Martha’s Vineyard. Source: Huffington Post
After a week long vacation on Martha’s Vineyard (interrupted by the sad passing of Senator Ted Kennedy), the First Family returned to the White House on Sunday August 30, 2009. Even though the Obama Dog was a little more inconspicuous than the rest of the Obama family, our boy looks like he had a good time and is glad to back home. Who are we kidding, a dog is always happy to be wherever his loved ones are located! Source: Day Life
The Obama’s are into their fourth day on Martha’s Vineyard and we’ve only seen the First Dog once on the day they arrived. Why are they denying the White House dog his joy in life – to frolick freely among the people?! Come on Obamas, even First Lady Michelle’s multi-colored shorts made an appearance today on the family’s bicycle riding party so we demand to see the dog that goes with the shorts!!! Since the White House family and dog have been on Martha’s Vineyard vacationing this week, the island has been going out of it’s way to show the Obama dog and family lots of love! There have been lots of new “merchandise” in the name of the First Dog, a parade, and even food named in the lovable pooch’s honor (both human and canine). Keep the love comin’!
During the flight to Martha’s Vineyard this past weekend the First Dog and the Obama family traveled in style (on Air Force One) but FDW recently discovered that in the family’s attempt to keep the White House dog in complete safety may have been a little extreme. It appears that they may have strapped Bo in a “baby car seat”! Say it isn’t so….just kidding. The car seat was probably for President Obama’s niece…Source: Huffington Post

I Love You Legs!
As the Obama family and their staff descend upon Martha’s Vineyard this weekend, the Vineyard is preparing to welcome the First dog in style with the Martha’s Vineyard Dog Parade. According to one of the residents and organizers, the parade is really an homage to ALL dogs on the island and they just used Bo Obama as an excuse to celebrate the lovability of their own canines. No word yet on if the White House dog will actually make an appearance (probably to busy roll in a pile of gold dog biscuits) but we are sure that the island dogs are wagging their tails in anticipation:-) Source: Cap Cod Online
While vacationing this month on Martha’s Vineyard, the First Family should take First Dog Bo to the Trade Wind Fields Preserve – a virtual “free-for-all” for dogs! According to some reports, it’s like being a seven-year-old going out to play on the playground with NO adults around…
Some reports say that the dogs are so happy that they have been known to gather in a chorus of howling, whistling and barking…all to show how happy they are in case the vigorously wagging tail is not proof enough! We can just see our boy Bo now, getting those cute “socks” of his all dirty with mud…Source: Martha’s Vineyard Times
First Dog Bo is living the good life. Sure the White House is spanky but nothing compared to his reported Martha Vineyard vacation house. Apparently the $20 million dollar pad, called the Blue Heron Farm, is a 28-acre farm with a private beach, basketball court and lots and lots of apples in the apple orchard. We there will be alot of the “marking of the territory” done by our pawed friend…. According to local reports, First Dog Bo’s arrival with his family is causing alot of excitement. Well, can you blame them, Bo is sooooooo CUTE!!! Source: UK Telegraph
It has been widely reported that the Obamas and First Dog Bo will be vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard this August. Yippee! Finally, a chance for our boy to frolick ON THE BEACH. Portuguese Water Dogs apparently LOVE water so our boy will be right at home. We suggest that he gets into a little digging for crabs with the President, building sand castles with Sasha and Malia, or just sun-bathing with the First Lady. Either way, he’s a doggie so we know he will have a blast:-)
