This is why we love First Dog Bo…his awesome will not be denied! During a meeting with White House staff’s children, the First Dog upstaged First Lady Michelle Obama with his adorable-ness by making lots of noise. And it was just what the kids wanted. Even after he was dismissed, the kids asked question after question about the First Dog and finally started a chant to get our boy back. Awwwww so precious:-)

I'm Back Bitches!

I'm Coming Out!

It's Nice To See My Fans...

First Dog Bo has been MIA recently so it’s nice to see our boy out and about with his mom, First Lady Michelle Obama. The First Dog escorted the First Lady to welcome children of the Executive Office employees. As usual, Bo stole the show and reportedly got lots of hugs, kisses and belly rubs:-) Source: Day Life

My Bo-Bo Might Like This One...

First Dog Bo’s mother, First Lady Michelle Obama, surprised shoppers today at a Fresh Grocer in North Philadelphia. The First Lady, along with Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner, visited the grocery chain to bring awareness to her childhood obesity awareness program by picking from the store’s fresh and inexpensive selection. The Fresh Grocer is known to offer high quality fruits and vegetables in their stores which are largely located in low-income neighborhoods where childhood obesity is the highest. Looks like the First Lady will be bringing some of those fresh vegetables back for our boy Bo. We recommend the celery as it’s the closest vegetable to resemble a stick and we know how much dogs like to gnaw on sticks. Source: Huffington Post

The First ladies of the family had a nice time this past weekend at Ski Liberty, a resort in Pennsylvania. While the President was busy running the country, the First Lady and First Daughters spent the weekend on the girls’ first ski trip. Where was First Dog Bo? We hope he was back at the White House giving the President some of that precious doggie love….Source: The Herald Mail

During the famous surprise that First Lady Michelle Obama gave visitors to the White House, we see that our boy First Dog Bo is indeed the head of the family. Many visitors were very excited to meet the First Lady of course but we think that the First Dog upstaged her mostly. The First Lady didn’t mind as she referred to the First Dog as ‘Bo-Bo’ and tried numerous times to call him back to her side so that she could make the proper introductions to the visitors. ALEXANDRIA, VA - JANUARY 28: First lady Michelle Obama speaks about the government and community efforts to fight childhood obesity while visiting the YMCA January 28, 2010 in Alexandria, Virginia. The U.S. Surgeon General Regina Benjamin released a paper on the public health challenge posed by the rise in obesity, particularly among children, and the importance of involving parents, health care providers, schools, and local communities in finding comprehensive solutions.

My Suit Is Fabu!

First Lady, Michelle Obama, spoke to a group of young people last week at a YMCA in Alexandria, VA and we at First Dog Watch thinks that her outfit looks very, very familiar…

Where Will First Dog Start?

Madame Tussauds Wax Museum is the bearer of First Dogs new shiny gift – wax figures of President Obama and First Lady Michelle! These are some sweet gifts. Just look at that shiny lacquered coating and we can imagine our boy Bo jumping on these figures and licking their legs, hands and faces…you know, all the lovely things that our dogs do for us:-)

Life Is Good For The First Dog!

Well, well, well, look who is hanging out with mommy again! It seems that First Dog Bo is having a blast now that he has his family back. Just look at the look of contentment on his face – tongue hanging just ever so slightly out of the mouth. It reminds us of how humans sometimes involuntarily sigh an involuntary sigh of contenment. But instead of a tongue hanging out (well, maybe for some of us that is), we just lay back, sigh and maybe do a little belly rubbing…which is also a favorite pasttime of dogs. Maybe that’s why we love them so much – they remind us of ourselves in so many ways.

First Dog Bo is happy, the humans are happy…all is right in the White House!

Can I Try Mommy?

Where’s The Book?!

The Obama Family continues their winter vacation in Hawaii by going out doing “family” things like going to book stores. Well, we at FDW say why not bring Bo? I mean, we all know that you can teach a dog to do anything! And because Bo is sooooo smart, learning how to read would be a cinch for one so blessed as he. Come on, sure it would sound much like “ruff ruff” but we have faith that our boy would soon be sounding out those consonants and vowels like any good red blooded American dog!
