Worry? If you’re like us here at FDW, any commercial with a dog will get your attention but the new Traveler’s Insurance commercial with a adorable TERRIER-type dog is in league all it’s own. In the dog’s quest to protect his most precious possession (a bone, no less), he spends lots of time worrying about it’s safety. Since the commercial’s heavy rotation began, it’s star has become a First Dog and ambassador of “adorableness” in our eyes and we think he should be crowned the TRAVELER’S INSURANCE FIRST DOG!
Now that Halloween is upon us, we are sure that the hip and savvy crowd in Hollywood will put their First Dogs in the best. None of those crazy outfits that us mere mortals use; but something more “Oscar-worthy”! Check out these adorable celebrity pooches and give us some of your ideas…
Superstar hunk, Gerard Butler, and his adorable PUG, Lolita, are doing just fine only a month after “Pug-gate”. Fortunately, there have not been any more dog incidents and FDW is happy to report that Butler and his best friend are doing great!
While Gerard Butler may have not had his Pug, Lolita, on a leash while walking her last week during the attack, according to TMZ, he is not guilty of attacking the Greyhound, MayFly, in the incident. According to reports, the Greyhound attacked the Pug, biting her twice before Mr. Butler was able to leash her and leave. But MayFly and his owner were not through as they started to follow Butler and Lolita and MayFly went in for another bite but was held off by Butler pushing the snout away…
The most important thing is that both dogs are okay. Lolita is doing okay after being treated at an animal hospital for four hours. FDW is glad to know that the dogs involved are fine but thinks this is a good example of owners dropping the ball on responsible ownership. ALWAYS leash your dog while walking to protect them as well as other dogs. And ALWAYS keep control of your dog when they are meeting new dogs. Source: TMZ
Okay…where should we begin…Aubrey O’Day, put down the pooch and back away from this tomfollery of an outfit and hair color! Former Danity Kane member Aubrey O’Day took her poor pooch, Ginger, with her to the Wendy Williams Show yesterday and showed us all the canine abuse that poor Ginger has to endure.
Dog lovers of the world, I know how much you loooove your dogs but please, please, please stop subjecting your dogs to crazy outfits, hair colors and as Niecy Nash would say, just “foolishness“! Dressing your dog up like this IS abuse. Source: Dlisted.com
Last night I was watching “Daddy’s Girls“, a show on MTV about Vanessa and Angela Simmons and their new life in Los Angeles. It’s really a delightful show as both women have dogs that they adore and last night, Angela, along with her best friend, went to get another dog at a shelter/rescue organization. That’s what we’re talking about! As any dog lover knows, there are so many dogs (and puppies if you want) that need to be rescued. We think that these ladies should be given a gold star for reminding us that ALL dogs are First Dogs. Source: MTV
