The Obama Family left Washington D.C. for a winter break to escape the brutal cold weather in favor of fun in the sun! But then FDW uncovers pictures of the President sucking up snow cones? We’re confused. The Obamas could have stayed in Washignton (with First Dog Bo) and made snow cones out of the snow outside their front door. That way, our boy Bo would have had his family and the family would have their snow cones.
We don’t get it…(wink)
Looks like our boy will be spending his first Christmas in the White House ALONE! What? According to Associated Press, the Obama family arrived in Oahu, Hawaii for their family Christmas break WITHOUT FIRST BO! Shocking to us here at First Dog Watch but we figure the First Family have their reasons. We know that they love the First Dog very much and are gonna miss him. But like all dogs, our boy will find a way to find joy in Christmas – even without his family. Here’s to the resilient spirit of the First Dog! Source: Associated Press
It seems the Obama’s took a night off this past weekend without the most famous dog in the country, First Dog Bo Obama. First Dog Watch thinks they are missing their pooch mucho mucho…we do too. Just look at the longing looks on their faces. We know how you feel Obama Family. When are we gonna get some fresh pictures of those adorable paws? Source: Huffington Post
The day after Thanksgiving is usually a big “leftover’s day” for the entire, including the family dog. The Obama’s are all probably lounging around the White House chomping on leftover pie and our boy First Dog Bo is probably lounging under the dinner table sucking on a delicious turkey leg bone and having doggie dreams of getting his paws on a wing bone…ahhh the simple pleasures in life!
Looks like the First Family is spending enough time with our boy BO afterall. It seems along with taking our boy to Martha’s Vineyard and other family outings, the Obamas also take the family dog to First Daughter, Malia Obama’s soccer game. By taking our boy to such a low-key event, we know that he is indeed the First Dog. But, unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Bo’s too interested in the game:-)
Well, well, well, in the new pics of the Obama Family – the “official” White House family photo that is- the First Dog is missing! But before we got out dog collars all tied up, First Dog Watch decided to do some investigation and, actually, it turns out that Bo Obama isn’t the first First Family pet to NOT appear in the “official White House” family photo.
In our search for First Family photos with First Pets, we were hard pressed to find any “official” photos with the First Family and their pets. We know that the Clintons loved First Dog, Buddy, and First Cat, Socks, but they didn’t appear in any photos. So while we would have loved to have seen Bo Obama in the Annie Leibovitz photo, it’s not that unusual. Besides, the First Grandmother is also missing!
On Tuesday night, October 13, 2009, the Obamas hosted “Fiesta Latina” at the White House as part of the administration’s music series and in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. While the family danced and clapped their hands, we think our boy, First Dog Bo, was at home eager to show his own Salsa skills. He may be a canine, but we are sure he could have “busted a move.” Perhaps the First Daughters, Sasha and Malia, are discussing whether their dog Bo could do it or not…
You may think it’s a silly question but not so fast…a dog’s religion (or rather the religion of their family) can affect how much doggie lovin’ goes on. For instance, if you are a strict Hindu, dogs will not rank as high as a cow. Or if you are an atheist, you may give your dog all the lovin’ they need because after they die, it’s all over.
Well since the Obama Family were spotted this past Sunday, October 11, coming from church (Christian), we guess that he gets just as much love as most dogs in America…which is just about right!
…Play with Oprah’s dogs?! While the First Lady AND Oprah were in Copenhagen for their unsuccessful bid for the 2016 Olympics, FDW was wondering where is First Dog Bo? Perhaps there was a playdate for Bo in the deal to have his mommy (and daddy leave for a day). If that’s what a dog has to suffer for abandonment (we know we are pushing it), then we think it was worth it. Besides, Oprah has twenty dogs (just kidding) so we think he had a ball!
The Obamas visited the Jefferson Memorial in Washington on Sunday, September 27, 2009, along with the President’s sister Maya Soetoro-Ng, her husband, Konrad Ng and their two daughters. Truly a family affair with ONE obvious snag – no First Dog! Now we know the Obamas love their doggie but it seems that they have soooo much fun without. Oh well, at least he got to go Martha’s Vineyard. Source: Huffington Post
