Hoppa is a four-year-old,a  MIXED-BREED, who was born without his two front legs. No worries, because, an angel by the name of Avi Kuzi from Israel’s Society for the Protection of Animals decided to create a contraption that allows Hoppa to get around like any other dog. This truly warms our hearts… Source: Dlisted

Bo Is Still Top Dog!

Despite being one of the most popular First Dog’s in American history, First Dog Bo is also apparently one of the most heroic. After the success of it’s last graphic novel, “Puppy Power: Bo Obama” about the First Dog, Bluewater Publications decided it needed a new one to highlight our boy’s power. This book, entitled “Bo Obama: The White House Tails”, goes a little bit further into the “peoples house”. By following the First Dog, who narrates the 40-page story, we learn about the day to day aspects of the White House happenings, the history of presidential pets and a guided tour of the executive mansion.

Infact, our boy Bo is so popular, that the book sold out last month. A new printing has been ordered so if you haven’t gotten a copy yet, don’t fret. Source: Bluewater Publications

The Winter Olympics wrapped up in Vancouver last night but we wanted to remind our readers of how much dogs contributed to the games and how adorable they looked while doing it. :-)

Ever since he was released after serving two years for horrendous dog-fighting ring charges, Michael Vick has tried hard to redeem himself and regain the public and particularly the dog-loving community’s acceptance by speaking against the evils of dog-fighting in “at-risk” urban communities. Well, Mr. Vick may be helping the doggies in another way…by taking off his clothes? Yes, that’s right! It seems that Playgirl Magazine has offered the football player a cool $1 million dollars to be donated to a PETA. Now that’s what we’re talking about! Mr. Vick has yet to respond so we will be keeping our paws crossed. Source: USA Today

Academy Award nominee Sandra Bullock was trying to get more good karma coming her way this week. It seems the “Blind Side” star was seen stopped in traffic in Los Angeles trying to catch an adorable little pooch who seemed to be lost and scared while running through traffic. Last week, if will remember, Sandra’s own dog, Cinnabun was returned to her husband Jesse James’ bike shop after being missing for a few weeks. First Dog Watch already liked Ms. Bullock and her husband for being such caring dog owners but this little good samaritan deed makes her the front runner for Dog Lover of the Year Award:-) Source: TMZ

ABC’s ‘The View” held their second annual Best Mutt Show last Friday and boy the “adorable-ness” was at full blast! The MIXED BREEDS competed in two different categories – “Viewers Picks” and “Rescue Dogs”, and then went on to compete for title of “Best In Show“. No matter the winner, though, all the dogs are winners and one was even adopted while the live show was on the air. Well First Dog Watch would like to say Ruff! Ruff! to the View. Source: Youtube
